Building yachts in excess of 160 metres Devonport requires quality marketing material to match the specialist service they provide. When tasked to create a presentation box intended to house the finer details of the Devonport offering, we set to work and came up with a variety of deigns. We were very happy with the final result – a high quality presentation box, containing a bespoke business card and branded USB stick, sourced especially for the event. The USB stick contained a full-screen interactive Flash presentation with video footage and boat specifications, as well
as a screensaver. Initial feedback is that the boxes have been well received in Monaco; take a look at the photographs and let us know what you think.

Has it been a year already? Last night DNA once again attended ECO (Exeter Contemporary Open) at Exeter Phoenix. ECO is a national platform for emerging contemporary artists and aims to reflect themes and concerns in current practice over a broad range of disciplines. DNA were proud to sponsor the New Media category and awarded the prize to Hayley Lock, whose striking work has become the poster image for the exhibition. Congratulations to Hayley and Exeter Phoenix for putting on such an enjoyable event. ECO runs from 17 Sep – 4 Nov, so be sure to drop by if you can. Here’s a nice smiley pic of Rich with winner, Hayley Lock.

DNA have recently been working in partnership with Torbay Council to promote their latest creative projects… Antony Gormley’s Field for the British Isles will be the centrepiece of a year of contemporary art in the ancient setting of Torre Abbey in Torquay. Perhaps most famous for his giant sculpture, Angel of the North, Gormley’s Turner-prize-winning Field series is a startling and arresting sight: 40,000 unglazed, fired, small clay figures, standing closely together, all staring towards the viewer. The exhibition is free and open from 27th June – 23th August 2009.
Futher promotional material has been created for the Torre Abbey Contemporary Open (TACO). Set alongside Gormley’s installation, TACO will continue to showcase exceptional art in the Southwest region at Torre Abbey. It’s open from 16th July – 31st August and well worth a look!

We have recently strengthened our 3D design capability by teaming up with Marcus Horsfall. Marcus has ten years experience in the design and production of custom-built exhibition stands and point of sale displays and enabled us to increase our impact in Monaco for Devonport. Over the course of his career Marcus has brought a combination of creative flair, eye for detail and advanced design and visualisation skills to a wide range of UK and international clients. Marcus’ experience takes our existing exhibition design skills to a new level and will enable us to manage larger exhibition, POS and retail design projects from initial concepts right through to production and installation. He is a valuable addition to our creative team and we are delighted to welcome him on board.

Devonport’s bid to raise its profile at this year’s Monaco Yacht Show proved very successful last week, with the company enjoying a personal visit on its new stand by His Royal Highness Prince Albert. We helped Devonport create a brand new exhibition concept for the show, based on the updated branding we developed in 2007. Our MD, Jim Green, went along to see how the finished article was received and feedback on Devonport’s overall show presence was extremely positive. This was the first time the company had invested in a two-tier stand in Europe, but the upstairs space provided an invaluable escape from the excitement and business of the Show, where serious meetings could be held in comfort and in private. Devonport also played a key role in what proved to be something of a coup for the UK superyacht industry – the first ever Monaco appearance by the RAF’s Red Arrows!
